YLÄKOULUSSA OPISKELEMINEN
Yläkouluun siirtyminen on monelle nuorelle jännittävää aikaa. Se eroaa alakoulusta joiltain osin huomattavasti ja sen lisäksi moni uuteen oppilaitokseen siirtyvä on jo murrosiässä ja omassa elämässä tapahtuu myös monia muutoksia.
Uudet Oppiaineet
Oman luokan muuttuminen ja tunneille eri luokkiin siirtyminen tuovat muutoksen entisen alakoululaisen elämään suomi kolikkopelit kirjaudu.
Samalla vastuu lisääntyy ja omasta opiskelusta täytyy ottaa kovempi ote, mutta toisaalta moni nauttii oman päätösvallan vaikutuksesta muun muassa omien valinnaisaineiden valitsemisessa.

Yläkouluaikainen koulumenestys vaikuttaa jatko-opiskelupaikan saamiseen jo 7.
luokasta asti.

JAKSOJÄRJESTELY RYTMITTÄÄ LUKUVUODEN
Yksi suurimpia yläkoulun eroja verrattuna alakouluun on kouluvuoden jakautuminen jaksoihin. Jokaisessa lukuvuodessa on neljä jaksoa ja jokaisen jakson työjärjestys eroaa edellisestä, mutta nuori ei vielä pääse itse suunnittelemaan työjärjestyksiään.

TUKIOPPILASTOIMINTA
Tukioppilastoiminta Anttilan koulussa on vapaaehtoistoimintaa, jossa on vuosittain mukana noin 20 koulun 8.-9.-luokkalaista oppilasta. Toimintaan pääsee mukaan suorittamalla 8.-luokalla tukioppilastoiminnan valinnaiskurssin.
Vuosittain tukioppilaat järjestävät erilaisia tapahtumia ja teemapäiviä oman koulun oppilaille.
